Talk on "On
The Advantages Of Having A Barn Owl As Pet"
- Under Avenue of Community Services |
|
Barn owls usually stay out of the way of human beings,
and have been happy to inhabit old tree hollows and rock crevices. They have
a reason to do so - for people look upon them as harbingers of ill-luck and
death. However, according to Dr. Subramanya, member of the Bangalore Barn
Owl Conservation Group, this nocturnal bird of prey has an important
ecological role to play; in fact, so important that residents will love to
rear them as pets once they come to know about it.
