system has a lot of scope for improvement. Students find the textbooks
boring; teachers are not adequately trained to enthuse students; their only
tools to do so being the ubiquitous chalk and blackboard. Mrs Bhagya, a
technocrat who turned her back towards material software success in the US
to devote her life to the underprivileged in India, talks about her
experiences in creating alternative pedagogies for the hapless teacher.

have cancer, is a life-turning one. From that moment on, the
newly-christened "cancer patient" begins to live life at a totally different
level altogether. Not only for the patient, but also for the relatives, kith
and kin, and everybody around. Psycho-Oncology deals holistically with the
psychological, social, behavioral and ethical aspects of cancer. Dr. Brindha
gives an insight into how this discipline helps all involved, prepare for
the trauma.
